Alabama Industrial Access Project
Questionaire
Information provided herein will be used for consideration of project funding by the
Alabama Industrial Access Bond Authority. A response format is not specified, but a
response to each question is requested.
1. Name the project sponsor. (The project sponsor will usually be the local City or
County government. The project sponsor will normally be responsible for accomplishing all
preliminary engineering activities including obtaining all required permits, and
preparation of final contract plans and specifications, acquiring the public right-of-way,
and maintaining the completed roadway. All project construction cost overruns will be the
responsibility of the project sponsor. Any construction cost underruns will be returned to
the Industrial Access account fund.)
2. What is the amount of industrial access funding requested? (Provide detailed
estimate.)
3. Give project length on each access and complete project description. Provide a
project map.
4. Name the industry (ies) and location affected by funding.
5. Is the industry (ies) affected considered to be new or an expansion?
6. What is the major business of the industry, e.g. what does it manufacture, process, etc?
7. Will the new or expanded industry (ies) create additional industrial/office space?
How many square feet?
8. How many new jobs (employees) will be created if this is a new enterprise? How many
if this is an expansion?
9. How many new jobs (employees) will be created when the company reaches its full production capacity? What is the projected time this will take place?
10. When will the plant (building) construction be completed?
11. Is the planned road improvement on public right-of-way? Which agency of government
will maintain the completed roadway?
12. Are other funding sources needed to completely finance this roadway project? if so,
what other funding sources will be needed and how much money has been obtained from these
funding sources? What will be the total project cost including the industrial access
funds? (Provide detailed estimate and project map.)
13. Do you anticipate any environmental problems which might be associated with the
development of the access roadway project, e.g. wetlands, historical properties, etc.?
14. Have any roadway construction plans bee prepared? What is the status of these
construction plans? Who is preparing the construction plans?
15. Please provide any other industrial information that might be available which will
aid in justifying the expenditure of Alabama Industrial Access Bonding Authority. (Local
economic conditions, noteworthy news about the industry (ies) affected by the grant
process, etc.)
